Surprise Surprise, Facebook’s made Friending more confusing

A very quiet change to how you process Facebook friend requests has paved the way for a Twitter-style follow feature.

It’s not longer easy to simply ignore friend requests, you now have the option of ‘Not Now’ and thereafter ‘I don’t know x’.

The Twitter-esque element stems from would be friends seeing your ‘Everyone’ updates in their home feed the moment they invite you to become friends. Now clicking on ‘Not Now’ means they will continue to see your updates in their home feeds until you click on ‘I don’t know x’.

With this new change it might be worth giving your privacy settings a once over to make sure you’re happy with what might be appearing in your Not Now Friends feeds!
