We’ve just released SocialSafe v6.2.7, which includes a number of UI enhancements to provide a better user experience for those renewing a 12 month licence or upgrading their licence. For those eagerly awaiting version 6.3 and Facebook Inbox/Messages, you’ll be pleased to hear that the background work on this has been completed. What we’re doing now is making some performance enhancements to the app so it can be more responsive for those of you who are too popular for words.
Users who have tens of thousands of Facebook messages (and we know you’re out there) are not going to be pleased if their SocialSafe grinds to a halt. The next stage will be the release of a version 6.3 beta. If you want to be one of the first to test drive FB messages then please get in touch as we still have some Beta licence opportunities available. If you’re happy to wait then you can look forward to the version 6.3 release scheduled for w/c 24th September.
So what’s in SocialSafe v6.2.7? Well, as I said a lot of the work has been preparing the app for Facebook Messages implementation in v6.3, but our developers have also been fixing the bugs that some of you have kindly pointed out to us. One of these meant that some users experienced problems while backing up a Facebook Page, and SocialSafe would stall at certain points. This has now been fixed, along with some other minor issues.
Lastly, we now have a new UI for Licence Upgrade, Downgrade and Renewal. We hope you like what we’ve worked on for this point release, and as ever, we appreciate your feedback.
