Another major new feature released within SocialSafe v6.6 is PDF Export.
While it’s been possible to export data from SocialSafe in a raw CSV format for some time, we’re sure you’ll agree that it’s not the prettiest way of doing things. With this in mind, we’ve taken a big stride forward in terms of giving you greater control over your data by making it possible to export content to PDF.
To create a PDF Export, simply go to the Journal view and from the top bar define the date range you want to select items from, and from which network accounts. To enable item selection, click on the Export icon on the right hand side of the top bar. You can then scroll through your content, marking it for selection. If you want to select everything within the specified date range just click on the small tick on the right hand side of the top bar.
Once you’re happy with your selection of items, click on the ‘PDF’ button on the left of the top bar, and choose where on your machine you’d like to the save the PDF Export. Here’s an example of how the PDF Export looks:
We were very much aware that the previous export functionality within SocialSafe had its limitations, so we hope you like the improvements we’ve made in this area. At the moment you can only create a PDF from within the Journal view, but we do have plans to widen the scope for how you select the content for your PDF Exports.
This is just one of the new features we’ve added in SocialSafe v6.6 to help you do more with your social content, but all of these updates represent just another step forward in terms of what we have in mind for this app and the future of giving you the power to do more with your data.

PDF export doesn’t support Bulgarian also. It becomes useless for me as backing up my FB messages was the only reason to download this app.
PDF export has no full support for UTF8; especial polish language…

I used to be able to download to pdf in November, I am no longer able to do so. There is no longer a pdf button. Has this happened to anyone else, if so, how can I fix it?
Well, I tried it. It didn’t really work for me. Maybe the problem is that I’m trying to select all items in my whole lifetime. For some reason, SocialSafe says that is 0 items, instead of the thousands that are really there. I guess that’s a bug in the selection feature, but it means I can’t export a PDF of all the items ever. That may not be a big deal because PDF isn’t really an appropriate format for that amount of data anyhow. CSV might be smarter, or an XML file.
i dont have the pdf button on the upper left side as you say..
is it because i have free version of social safe, ”trial version” which expires in 60 days?
I am testing SocialSafe app.before planning to buy it.
Unfortunately I get stuck with copying the selected journal (all the timeline) to a .pdf
I do not see the mentioned .pdf icon at the top left of the menubar.
Any suggestion??

The only roblem is that, the messages what I want to export is from a person, whom deleted me from Facebook… and now the SocialSafe recognize it’s account as Unknown… And whenever I try to search for it’s account on the Journal section between the selected time period it doesn’t want to find it… :/
