SocialSafe v6.6 Released – Collections, Instagram Insights, PDF Export and Facebook Pages Messages

We’ve finally released SocialSafe v6.6 and boy, it’s packed full of new features! So much so, that we’ve actually written an individual blog dedicated to each of the new features in their own right, but here’s an overview of what we’ve been working on…

  • Collections
  • Instagram Insights
  • PDF Export
  • Facebook Pages Messages

Collections

Adding to your SocialSafe CollectionsThis is something we’ve been talking about for a while, and we’re really pleased to finally be able to show it to you. This new feature allows you to create – you guessed it – Collections of your content, so that you can group items of a particular theme from across all of your network into one place. Say for example you wanted all of your posts, messages, tweets and photos to do with sport, or music or food to be accessible on demand in one place, you could create a collection for that theme and add to it over time. Find out how to create your own Collections here.

Instagram Insights

See what Instagram filters you use with SocialSafeYou should be now be familiar with the ‘Most Popular’ insights that were introduced into SocialSafe earlier this year, but Instagram Insights give you a filter-tastic new perspective on your Instagram photo producing habits, and tells you which of your filter choices are the biggest hits with your followers. Read this blog to learn more about Instagram Filters Insights.

PDF Export

SocialSafe now generates PDFs from your social network contentPreviously you’ve only been able to export your data from SocialSafe in a raw CSV format, or .jpeg in the case of photos. We knew that people wanted a way to export items from the journal while keeping the additional content (comments, likes etc) as well as retaining some of the aesthetic from the host networks, so we’ve made it possible to export to PDF. To find out how to select items for PDF Export within SocialSafe, read the full blog entry dedicated to this functionality.

Facebook Pages Messages

SocialSafe now saves Facebook Page MessagesAnd finally the last major addition to SocialSafe v6.6 is the ability to back up Messages from Facebook Pages. This works just the same as backing up any other type of content with SocialSafe, you’ll need to tick the appropriate box from the Accounts view within the app. Check out our separate blog entry about backing up Facebook Page Messages to find out how to make sure yours are downloaded with every scheduled sync.

  2. My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from
PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites
for about a year and am worried about switching to another
platform. I have heard good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress
content into it? Any kind of help would be really
    appreciated!
