Friday Fun: Flash Mobs, Barrel Rolls and November Rain

It’s been a fair old time since I last sat down to write a Friday Fun blog, but here goes. There have been quite a few things going on in the tech world that probably deserve a mention, but we’ll just take a look at a few of the stories.

If you’re reading this blog you’ve probably also read my piece about Take This Lollipop, the Facebook app that simultaneously went viral while scaring the bejesus out of people. If you’ve not heard of it, you can find out more here.

Over the last couple of days a couple of nifty tricks with Google have been doing the rounds, so if you try typing “askew” into the search bar, or “do a barrel roll” just see what happens. Mashable also have a few other examples of cool things you can do with Google.

I’ve just also seen something on Facebook which I guess is a flash-mob performance of sorts on a London train, but it’s definitely worth watching The 19:57 from Euston on YouTube if you get the chance.

Right, it’s very nearly home-time, so I’d best be signing off. In my previous Friday Fun blogs I’ve left you with a song, so we’ll sign off the week with a classic that believe it or not was released 20 years ago. Given that we’re now in November and, in my corner of England at least, it has rained every day of the month so far, this track from Guns N’ Roses seems like a fitting choice. Have a great weekend.
